| Popis | This publication, entitled 75 jaar Felix Timmermans in het Tsjechisch (75 years of Felix Timmermans in Czech), deals with the reception of the Flemish writer Felix Timmermans (1886–1947) in the Czech context between 1920 and 1995. During this period, eleven of his novels and novellas together with six short stories were published in Czech, which is a relatively high number compared to similar Dutch and Flemish writers. This publication, based on Itamar Even-Zohar’s polysystem theory and other theoretical approaches, tries to explain the large number of Timmermans’ titles published in Czech. |
