Popis This study explores how religious leaders in Turkey talk about Ramadan differently based on the speaker’s gender. During Ramadan, religious leaders actively share content on social media, addressing a range of topics such as proper fasting practices, nutritional guidelines to minimize physical strain, as well as themes of patience, inner peace, and spiritual development. While many religious figures engage in these discussions, their interpretations and focal points vary significantly depending on their theological stance. For instance, while one religious content creator may emphasize family values and Quranic verses related to familial roles, another might focus on the strict fasting rules. This study examines how these discourses diverge according to the gender of the religious content creator. Are there discernible patterns in the ways men and women structure and present their Ramadan talks on YouTube? Do male and female speakers offer conflicting perspectives on fasting practices and the roles of family members? How does gender shape the interpretation of Ramadan rituals, and what does this reveal about women's religious commentary and empowerment? To address these questions, the study employs content analysis to examine the daily Ramadan talks of two well-known religious YouTube content creators—one male and one female—over thirty days. Through this analysis, the study aims to contribute to the broader discussion on gender dynamics in religious discourse and the evolving role of digital platforms in shaping contemporary religious narratives.
