Popis The aim of the article is to highlight the importance of the Czech translations of the works of Jacint Verdaguer and Angel Guimera for the early reception of Catalan literature in the Czech Lands. The predominance of both authors lies not only in the number of translations of their works but also in the impact these translations had on Czech culture. In addition to having served as a source of inspiration for local authors, they also helped establish a reputation for Catalan literature, laying the foundations for its later reception.
