Looking back over the NAKI III projects

This year, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic announced the first public competition in research, experimental development and innovation for targeted support for projects under the NAKI III programme. This is a programme to support applied research in the field of national and cultural identity, which will be implemented between 2023 and 2030. The projects announced this year will have a duration of 5 years. They will therefore run from 2023 to 2027.

Due to the uncertainties surrounding the announcement of the TACR ÉTA programme, there has been enormous interest in submitting proposals for NAKI III projects this year. A total of 12 projects were submitted from the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University. In nine cases our faculty was the main beneficiary, in three cases as a partner. The most active was the Department of Archaeology and Museology with four submitted project proposals. Two proposals were submitted by the Institute of Czech Language, the Institute of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archives and the Seminar of Art History. One project proposal was submitted by the Institute of European Ethnology and the Institute of Religious Studies.

The topics of the proposals are very interesting and varied, so we can only wish good luck to all the potential researchers and thank them for their time in submitting such a large and administratively complex project as NAKI III.
