Reconfiguring conditions for sitting a test
If you need to set special conditions for a student or group of students in a course, such as a longer time limit or a different test start date, you can modify the test conditions using user and group reconfiguration. This is useful, for example, if you want to set a longer time limit for a student with specific requirements, allow an additional test attempt for a student who is re-sitting the test, or if you want to set the test for individual test dates.
Reconfiguration for a specific student
In the left Administration block, select Test Administration/User Settings and choose Add User Reconfiguration. Only one course participant can be selected in this way.
Select a specific participant in the Reconfigure User drop-down box. For the required settings click on Enable, select the new values, and confirm by clicking on Save.
Reconfiguration for a group of students
If there are multiple students with special needs, create a group within the course and add specific students to it.
Then, in the left Administration block, go to Test Administration/Group Reconfiguration and set the test conditions for this group.
In the Reconfigure Group option, select the group to be reconfigured by the new settings from the drop-down list, click Enable for the required settings, and select the new values. Confirm by clicking on Save.
Detailed help on user reconfiguration in ELF can be found in the user documentation.
