Schedule – The roadmap of the edition
1st year
  • purchase of the technical equipment (the hardware and software, the appropriate material)
  • digitization of the source manuscript and editing the image data for further use
  • publication of the dissertation thesis providing an in-depth analysis of some selected aspects of the chronicle
  • purchase of the secondary literature required for the initial phase of the work
  • study and excerption in the libraries and the consultations with the competent experts (travels to Prague, Vienna, Regensburg)
  • beginning of the collation (manuscript, former editions, proposals of emendations etc.)

  • 2nd year
  • completion of the base electronic form of the text
  • comparison of the variants (Czech and Latin); interpreting and interrelating the results
  • statistical text analysis (concordance, frequencies etc.)
  • the electronic version; editing the textual and graphical material; preparing the user interface
  • study in the libraries and purchase of the secondary literature required for the actual phase of the work
  • beginning of the translation
    3rd year
  • completion of the parallel translation of the Old Czech text into German and the differential translation of specific passages into Czech; the respective commentary
  • final study and excerption in the libraries, purchasing literature and the consultations
  • completing the critical apparatus and the commentary, final redaction, corrections
  • completion of the electronic version with the commentary (optical medium or virtual environment)
  • publication of the printed edition
