At its meeting on 20 November 2023, the Academic Senate of the FF MU approved a new form of the Electoral Regulations of the AS FF MU, which considers the shift of the election period caused by the covid legislation.
The timetable and communication plan for the Senate elections for spring 2024 was also approved. The collection of nominations will start on 15 January, and the voting will take place in March. Throughout the election, a supportive promotional campaign will accompany the election, focusing, among other things, on supporting women's candidacies.
Following the last meeting, the options for distributing the overflow from the budget reserve were discussed. In the end, Senators recommended to the Dean that the funds be transferred to the 2024 budget and be used for the same purpose as this year (to support departments that would find themselves in existential difficulties due to salary increases).
Subsequently, the Senate approved the conditions for admission to study programmes in English. Following this point, a discussion was held at the end on the possibility of reducing the tuition fee for English programmes to the minimum necessary and on the issue of the classification of project researchers in non-academic positions. The faculty leadership will prepare their positions on both topics.
The meeting dates for the Spring 2024 semester were also set as follows: 29 January, 11 March, 15 April, and 20 May 2024.
The detailed course of the Senate meeting is recorded in the minutes.
The next meeting of the Senate will be held on 29 January 2024.
