At its meeting on 25 September 2023, the Academic Senate of the MU Faculty of Arts welcomed two new senators to its membership: Bc. Lucie Lindnerová (from SKAS) and Mgr. Karolína Stehlíková, Ph.D. (for KAP), who succeeded Šarlota Sedláčková and doc. Pavel Caha. The Faculty management introduced to the Senate the new Bursar of the Faculty, Ing. Jiří Velinský, with whom a short discussion followed.
Subsequently, some mandates in the Disciplinary Committee of the Faculty of Arts MU were extended or newly added. Dr. Bárta was also re-elected as a representative of the Senate in the Council of Universities.

Ultimately, the Senate did not support these degree programs, and the request to extend their accreditation will be reworked and presented to the Senate at the next meeting.
The senators then discussed and approved the text of the FF MU annual report for 2022 and the admission requirements for 2024/2025.

The government plans to support the priority of education, science, and research by reducing spending in the state budget, which emerged from a meeting of the conference of rectors of higher education unions and other higher education institutions at Bethlehem Chapel. The following statement concludes the discussion:

Further steps will follow, and the Senate will inform the academic community by mass email.
