The Department of Theater Studies invites you to the last online lecture on Horizons of Theatrology this semester, devoted to the visuality of mass sports performances and their representation in public space from the 1960s to 1989.

The author of the extensive essay Masa a moc, Elias Canetti, states that "everything takes place provided it is seen". The topic of the lecture is images of the human body in motion, which is defined by a specific space. The aim of the lecture is to present the motives that are replicated in mass sports festivities and their representation in the public space of the city and to try to approach how these cultural performances (Sokol rallies, workers' olympiads and national spartakiads) were adapted by the relevant epoch, what form and visual she left a mark in our memory.

Mgr. Anna Hejmová, Ph.D. studied socio-political journalism at the Higher Vocational School of Journalism, the Department of Theater Studies at FFUK and the Department of Theory and History of Art at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
