This Project intends to elaborate the works of literature which are concerned with the beginnings of the Calix, and thus to elucidate the first stages of Hussitism. Owing to the contemporary literary and historical studies the Czech Reformation can be understood today as an early stage of advance of the European Reformation; this cultural and historical phenomenon, however, should be defined more precisely first of all on the basis of exact study of the texts, which again would be impossible without their new editions. For assessing the true character of the Czech Reformation it is very important to ascertain the facts about the origin of the idea of the Calix and to answer the question when the Calix appeared at the theoretical and then also at the practical level. In the first two or three decades of the 20th century several papers concerning this topic appeared, but their points of view are very varied, indeed. Therefore it is necessary to scrutinise them in detail on the basis of new editions.
