The aim of the project is to concentrate in one place the information available in electronic corpora of Latin and Greek texts, and to create a specialized centre for consultations and support of these resources. This database will be made available to all participating institutions in the Czech Republic through the Ultranet server technology. Storing the data on a powerful computer will increase the efficiency of accessing and searching the texts. The concentration of the electronic texts in one centre will allow their easy upgrading and maintenance. Availability of texts that are now inaccessible or exist only in outdated versions will be a unique contribution to research. Scholarly work not only in the Antiquity and the Middle Ages but also in humanities generally is hardly possible without the access to these texts.
