Description The article deals with the vocabulary of Moravian (East Moravian and Central Moravian dialects), especially with the dialectal terminology relating to butchery. It contains the vocabulary of a traditional trade, from the slaughter of pigs to making meat products, including also items specific not only of the particular trade, but also those of a wider use. The article also provides a description of naming types and tendencies typical of this part of vocabulary, proving as well that the analyzed dialectal terminology is still alive, forming a specific part of a professional language from the spheres of meat processing and preparation of meat products.
