Description One of the relatively new trend in education is the use of e-portfolios and online systems to manage electronic portfolios. The use of e-portfolios can transform teaching and learning, not only students, but also the area of evaluation. This is based on an evaluation of the learning outcomes of students and their learning, which enables comprehensive insight into the performance of the student and his personality. In this paper we present e-portfolios, their types and outline the opportunities and barriers to the wider use of e-portfolios in school education.
