Description The article inquires into the reasons for which the Czech historiography has traditionally ignored the Liechtenstein princely family. As the main culprit the author identifies the negative image of Prince Charles I of Liechtenstein, whose activities after the Battle of White Mountain apparently impacted all of the family history (at least in the Early Modern Period).
