Description The publication about the theatre education in the teaching of French language is based on the twenty-years experience of the author in this field. The monography bases on various types of research: the first one dealt with the theatre and theoretical literature, traduced from French to Czech. According to the fact that the majority of the books (related to the dramatical education in foreign language) published in Czech republic is inspired by English literature, our work fills a notable gap. The second part of the research is based on the search and discussion of the sources, realized during three years in the monastic library in Rajhrad. This research concerns all French-written books which are possible to find in the Benedictine library. Consequently, we used various theoretical files and concrete theatre plays, mainly the collection of the plays by Jean-Francois Regnard. Another research line tracked the theoretical works of French authors who were writing about the masks on theatre scene. The author of the Dramatical Education in the French Language participated on French theatre studios in Czech republic and also abroad, studied dozens od books on these issues and, primarily, directed her students in more than 20 French theatre plays. The monography is built on determined theoretical but also on a lot of concrete experiences; nevertheless, it does not present a determined guide how to realize French theatre play, but it offers many ways which the teacher can choose deliberately or let him inspired. Very important part of the publication is the collection of plays: each of them concentrates on the development of specific ability and every play it is the result of the study and exploration of many French sources in this field.
