Description The fresco decoration of the pilgrimage church in Křtiny (1745-1747), kept by the Premonstratensian monastery in Brno-Zábrdovice, is among the greatest works of wall painting in Moravia. Its author painter Jan Jiří Etgens (1691-1757) rendered it as an expressive interpretation of church architecture, built to the project of Jan Blažej Santini Aichel. The article summarised the history of renovation of the wall paintings in the 19th and 20th centuries and reconstructed their iconographical program.
