| Description | The puppet film Cybernetic Grandmother (1962) by Jiří Trnka with music by Jan Novák represents an example of a critical attitude towards basic premises of cybernetics widely consumed in Czechoslovakia in 1960s after publishing the translation of Norbert Wiener's seminal work. Novák in cooperation with Trnka provides here a certain deconstruction of cybernetic mythology by its own truest means. |
