Description The study brings new pieces of information regarding the history and content of the picture gallery in the Liechtenstein and later Fürstenberg chateau in Fryšava (present-day Břežany) by Znojmo, which the experts of the late eighteenth century considered one of the largest and most valuable in Moravia. The author focuses on its fate in the period of Moritz, Prince of Liechtenstein (1798) and under the canon of Cologne and later prior of Mikulov, an ardent collector Josef Franz Anton Count Truchsess von Waldburg-Zeil-Wurzach (1801) and suggests its connection to the collecting activities of Johann Adam Andreas, Prince of Liechtenstein.
