Description The present article deals in the introduction with the characteristics and structure of the Frankish law and the possible influence of Roman law on the Frankish law. The main part of the study analyses the development of the institute Frankish law in the area of asylum law and the law of inheritance and the possible influence of the Roman law. At the end of article, there is examined the application of Salic inheritance law in 1890, at the moment when Adolphe became Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
