Description Changes of the perspective from which we view new media require new methodological tools and approaches. Attention of scholars turns to the materiality of new media, the performativity of programming and processes taking place through computer programs. New perspective of research brings about new images of new media. We are looking for appropriate ways of seeing and reading of them, thus the new methodologies that would enable us to understand the meaning of these images. Some of them are introduced in the new issue of e-zin TIM: Evil media studies, variantology, the definition of software work, theory of Glitch art, and an aesthetics of artificial life art.
