| Description | The aim of the workshop is to organize a meeting of scholars, engaged in the research of narrative elements in the early Medieval Greek Literature. Topics might include but are not limited to: a function of storytelling in the early medieval society; a character and development of diegesis in the narrative genres (historiography, hagiography), as well as in other genres containing narrative passages (ascetic literature, rhetoric, epistolography); a contribution of modern literary theories and their methods to the examination and interpretation of the early medieval literature and society. |
