Citation
Description Contribution aims to analyze the options for translating the means of expressing style from the standpoint of language as a system. Her analysis is based on selected short stories by modern Bulgarian author Georgi Gospodinov, taken from the collection Gaustin, or the Man of Many Names and translated into Czech by Ivana Srbková. This text's goal is not to perform an overall stylistic analysis, but rather to focus on colloquial phrases, whose function is important during the process of constructing an artistic text. The most frequent means of expressing style in the Bulgarian original are turkisms and lexical units with colloquial undertones.
