Description	The text presents four diagnostic tools of the speech development of toddlers and pre-school age children with the various stages of the development. Prepared for publishing is the questionnaire Dovyko II which is the Czech adaptation of the MacArthur-Bates CDI: Words and Sentences. This questionnaire should be answered by parents and provides the overview of the child´s vocabulary and grammar development of children at the age from 16 to 30 months. In the further weeks is prepared the diagnostic set to diagnose language abilities of children at the age from 3,5 to 5,5 years. This set contains 10 subtests, 5 are aimed on the lexical and grammar knowledge, 5 are aimed on phonology knowledge. Two diagnostic sets are processed to collect normative data; the short picture dictionary containing 40 items; should be presented as the first screening for the children at the age at the age from 1,5 to 3,5; the test of the repeating sentences to diagnose the grammar abilities of the children from 4 to 5,5 years.
