Description The lecture, intended primarily for the students of the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, focused on the dramatic works of William Shakespeare in the context of European Renaissance and early-modern English theatre. It introduced the specific features of of early-modern drama and, using examples from Shakespeare's plays, it also presented typical dramatic devices that William Shakespeare employed and that were typical of the period in question.
