| Description | The paper deals with the offence of witchcraft captured on pages criminal codes Constitutio Criminalis Josephina and Constitutio Criminalis Theresiana, which constituted an unified penal system for the entire Czech lands. The aim is to show the perception of witchcraft and its transformation during the formation of the two codes, first when mass persecution culminated, and then with hindsight of sixty years, on the threshold of the emerging Enlightenment. |
