Description The paper is dealing with comprehensive analysis and evaluation of a part of the settlement of the Linear Pottery Culture, explored at the multicultural locality of Velatice (Brno-venkov District) in 2005–2009. Focus is mainly laid on the internal structure of the settlement and evaluation of pottery, lithic industry, clay daub and osteological material obtained from 274 settlement features of this culture. The results of this work make it possible to outline chronology of the site, which is based on a detailed analysis of ceramic material, above all the technique of linear ornament. The study is also treating the problem of a ditched enclosure which was identified during the excavations and verified by geophysical survey. The locality is subsequently embodied in the context of LBK settlement in the Brno region.
