| Description | The chapter deals with the issue of cinematographic reflexion of the changes in living standards and lifestyle in Czechoslovakia between 1945 and 1959. The text consists of the analysis of Czech short non-fiction documentaries and short narratives which are examined with regard to the broad social and historical context that helps to reveal their true function in the Czechoslovak society and the extent to which they really reflect the changes in living standards in the young socialist state. |
