Description The architectural shape of the courtyard arcade as well as the heraldic outlets in Rosice gives evidence of the fact that the arcade was built between the 1570s and the 1590s. Its construction concept respects the classical stylistic hierarchisation with Tuscan columns on the ground floor, Ionic columns on the honorary first floor and Composite ones on the upper floor. The motives of the arcade up to a certain degree copy the themes applied earlier in Náměšť nad Oslavou; however, a certain rusticalisation of the artistic execution can be found here, although in connection with the arcade in Rosice, we speak about prominent sculptors of the Brno stonemason‘s guild – Jiří Gialdi and František Canevale. On the upper floor of the arcade, a heraldic strip can be found, which demonstrates the importance of the Žerotín family. Ornamental, emblematic and iconographic motives, whose common -aim is the glorification of the social status and the virtue of the owner of the château, can be found in the spandrels on the window sills of the lower floors of the arcade.
