Description A set of specialized maps with professional content is one of the results of the project ”The development and implementation of the national monitoring network for long-term monitoring of persistent organic pollutants in ambient air of Czech Republic using passive sampling” no. TB010MZP057 supported by the program BETA Technology Agency of Czech Republic. The main objective of project is realization of a national monitoring network for long-term monitoring of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in ambient air in Czech Republic by using passive sampler (continuous sampling). A monitoring network is created by using passive sampler to comply with the requirements of the contracting authority to provide data and results suitable for the assessment of spatial and temporal trends in the incidence of POPs in air in Czech Republic. Monitoring provides a basis for fulfilling the obligations of international conventions on chemical substances (e.g. the Stockholm Convention or The convention on long-range transport of transboundary air pollution). The monitoring network includes 32 sites which are suitable for long-term monitoring of POPs (polycyclic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, pesticides, emergent pollutants, etc.). The created network may be operated long time by needs of MZP associated with the implementation of the conclusion of international conventions and agreements (especially the Stockholm Convention).
