| Description | Czech idealistic philosopher František Mareš (1857-1942) rejects the attempts of science to establish the unified ethical theory, expressed in therms of general principes. As a source of moral consciousness Mareš denotes sentiment, in which we view the ideal actor, the source of all values. The task of man using sentiment is to overcome his natural tendencies and to develop morally based culture. |
