Description A presentation at an international conference titled "Food in Japanese Studies" held by Charles University in Prague. A brief history of Kanadehon Chushingura and its adaptations was presented, followed by an analysis of parodic techniques employed by Santo Kyoden in his Chushingura sokuseki ryori, with attention payed mostly to the frequently appearing motives of food.
