Description In the lecture, the Greek adaptation of the collective trauma of the Argonauts and the subsequent coping with it by Apollonius of Rhodes and portraying the same situation by the Roman poet Valerius Flaccus were compared in broader context of Indo-European myths. It was shown that the Argonauts can be regarded in the respective episode as dysfunctional warriors, a category treated by R. Woodard (2013).
