Description	This article introduces the issue of political participation as well as the political phenomenon of non-voters. The text will discuss topics of political culture, motives of non-voters and political mobilization. The text will primarily focus on all kinds of elections in the Czech Republic. On the basis of the voter turnout analysis in the Czech Republic there will be described trends of particular kinds of elections.
