Description The purpose of the article is to introduce dissertation thesis. Scope of the current study is to improve users' need to look into map during the paragliding flight by providing them with the information that superimpose the reality, i. e. "Augmented Reality (AR)." Paper provides review of AR articles to obtain better understanding on current issues. We emphasise a theoretical background, AR tracking technologies important for following thesis, and types of AR devices. Method used is analysis of user's needs. Paragliding pilots provide facts to understand tasks before flight and in flight. The results reveal need to provide paragliding pilots with the information about position of other pilots during training (i.e. AR collaboration). Also to provide pilots information about geo-referenced points in space during the flight. Results also show that no similar system has been used in paragliding flighting. We identified implications for future AR technology expansion to everyday life.
