Description In this study we deal with generativity in young adulthood. We examine it in the context of a comprehensive model of psychosocial functioning in the first half of young adulthood. The sample consisted of 135 persons (95 women, 18 to 31 years, mean age 22.4), 84 % students, and 32 % in relationship / marriage. Respondents completed an online questionnaires regarding generative concern (LGS), generative action (GBC), current generativity (Gen-Current), perception of parents (POPS), dimensions of emerging adulthood (IDEA), social self-regulation (Social SOC), self-efficacy (GSES), self-esteem (RSES) and other areas (religion, volunteering, etc.). Persons doing volunteering activities achieved higher levels of generative concern. Other demographic characteristics (gender, age, education, marital status, field of study etc.) did not show differences in generativity level. For generative concern and current generativity, we found a significant relationship with all other observed variables; generative action correlated significantly only with self-efficacy and social self-regulation (elective selection). Included variables explain 44.8 % of the variability of generative concern, 38.6 % of the current generativity, and only 13.7 % of the actual generative action.
