| Description | The study describe the development of Czech independent theatre from the end of 30s of 20th century till 1989 and its continuous changes in several generations. It call attention to the problematic definition of the independent theatre in Czechoslovakia especially after 1948 as the totalitarian state did not make possible an existence of the independent theatre in a literal sense. As the independent theatre could be considered the theatre of the underground only. |
