Description The aim of the article is to answer to a question in what way Martin Walser make use of biblical references in his novel Muttersohn (2011). What is the function and meaning of the biblical intertextuality in this novel? The article classifies the main character as a Jesus-transfiguration and focuses on the relationship of the mother and her son and on the stance on the religion of the main character.
