| Description | The coronation of Francis II Czech king on August 9th, 1792 was apprehended as less significant, compared to the coronation of his father last year, which is also, among others, suggested by a much lower number of resources that testify about this. The chapter shows the young sovereign from a different viewpoint: as a man who has radically changed the circle of his counsellors, let himself coronate Czech king without great pomp and put in motion changes of the system, the results of which have been visible to date: i.e. the Criminal Code of 1803 and the General Civil Code of 1811. |
