Description The article is based od a bachelors thesis which is dealing with high medieval ceramic finds from the so called "Střepeniště" in Ronovec castle (Havlíčkův Brod district). The aim of the article is to process with modern methods a selected ceramic assemblage and to compare it with similar assemblages within the region. The assemblage included graphite pottery, associated with the origins of the castle, pottery from the 14th century, as well as ceramic ware connected with the last functional period of the site. Based on the analysis of pottery also the function of a place called Střepeniště (shard dump) has been discussed. The results of the article can deepen the knowledge of history of Ronovec Castle and od the evolution of high medieval pottery in the Havlíčkův Brod region.
