Description At present, phraseological units are widely used in the media in a transformed form. Adoption of the transformation, which serves to create new expressive images, their emotionality and metaphoricity, quite often can be found just in the language of various genres of modern journalism. The theme of the transformation of stable units does not lose its relevance, because this process is ongoing and continuous. This article is devoted to some aspects of the comparability of Russian and Czech transformed phraseological units in the journalistic context. Both semantics and the structure of phraseological unit can be subjected to transformation. Our attention is drawn directly to the analytical transformation, which introduces changes in the lexical composition of Russian and Czech phraseology in the relevant context. Studies of changes occurring in this area of linguistics in both related languages, and the following conclusions are very interesting for further research.
