| Description | Between 1638 and 1830, a security corps of provincial portáš operated in Moravia. Its beginnings are connected with the disturbed period of the Thirty-Years War. At the time, the number of criminal offences caused by deserted inhabitants and soldiers, as well as by plundering groups from Hungary increased. From the end of the 19th century, the legacy of the provincial portáš corps became part of the local and regional tradition, and especially some of the villages address it actively. |
