Description Since 1866, two police services have been operating in Brno: Municipal police and the state (empire) police. In order to avoid conflicts and irregularities in the work of state police officers and city policemen, it was necessary to fairly define their scope. The scope of each component was determined by the relevant legal standard (municipal or governor's decree) and at the beginning of 1868 also by the governor's decree nr. 167, which directly determined procedure in situations where the activity of both services overlap. The article is also briefly mentions Commanders of Brno Police services at that time. In the case of state police, it was Anton Le Monnier, with municipal police Josef Wolf (Monnier's former close colleague).
