Description Radola Gajda was born Rudolf Geidel on 14 February 1892 in Kotor. He was famous for his participation in the Czechoslovak Legion´s battles in Siberia, where he earned the generalship and the soubriquet „Siberian Lion“. His later revown, however, was for less desirable reasons. During the First Czechoslovak Republic he was involved with the Czech fascist political party, the National Fascist Community. The young general is shrouded in mystery.
