Description The chapter is devoted to theoretical definition of the problem of impaired communication ability of people with physical and multiple disabilities. The text describes the symptoms and effects of severe disability in the area of communication, the system of comprehensive care and education of speech therapists in the federal land Baden-Württemberg. The practical part presents results of qualitative surveys in Germany, which analysed the approaches to the development of pupils.
