| Description | The contribution focuses on an analysis of two contemporary attemtps at refuting the Hume Law, according to which it is impossible to derive values and norms from pure facts. I assess the arguments by S. Harris and P. Churchland and show that they are unsound. I further show that there are basic values that cannot be justified and, as a result, cannot be justified by derivation from facts, either. |
