Citation
Description The book presents Brazilian novels that already in the democratic era return thematically to the period of the military dictatorship (1964 -1985). First, it briefly describes the general characteristics of the so-called testimonial literature in which these works can be included, and offers a brief overview of the novels which focus on the topic, published from the late 1970s to the present. Afterwards, it passes to a detailed analysis of three selected novels that go back to the worst period of the military regime (the late 1960s and the first half of the 1970s): Stella Manhattan (1985) by Silviano Santiago, Nao falei (2004 ) by Beatriz Bracher and K. (2011) by Bernardo Kucinski.
