Description The Viennese theater poet Friedrich Kaiser (1814-1874) has almost completely forgotten. Although in his lifetime he was one of the most popular and most played playwrights of the Viennese suburban stages. Emperor's activity extends over a period of about forty years (1835-1874), especially in the 1840s and 1850s, he dominated together with his great rival Johann Nestroy the schedules of the Vienna suburban theater. The two also represent two opposing poetologies of the popular play. Because in contrast to Nestroy's satirical-humoristic antics, emperor's work took a different path. His pictures of life and character should, with their serious action, have an uplifting effect on the public. The contribution wants on the basis of some explanations in emperor autobiographical writings and Selected passages of his play give an insight into his aesthetic intentions. It should be traced on the basis of the explanations, which poetological views were brought in Emperor's folk pieces not only on the stage, but also in the theatrical criticism of the time. For the presentation, the following texts of Emperor are to be explicitly mentioned and poetological elements extracted: Autobiographische Skizze (1863); Unter fünfzehn Theater-Direktoren (1870) and Stadt und Land (1844). The following questions are in the room: what role does language play in questions of cultural identity? For Kaiser plays with his own perceptions of speakers, as well as with attributions from outside - the representation and perception of dialects and supposed high-level language and classification are of great interest here. Thus, in the contemporary journal Humorist to read, one had "for a long time met no farce, in which the Austrian people element with so much freshness, peace and good (1844) Which elements are conspicuous here should be sketched out. In addition, it should be traced to what extent the work has a cultural character, and which traces of multilingualism and the multicultural reality of life of the Habsburg monarchy of the author traces the play. Finally, Erich Joachim May's assumption is to be reviewed, which interprets the city and country as Vormarzz-Posse to reflect the first class struggles in Prague and expressed with resignation the worsening tensions within the different layers of the opposition movements. It will be interesting to see how Kaiser presents and reflects this.
