Description Fast development of modern visualization technologies enabled researchers to explore various aspects of human perception and cognition in laboratory and yet ecologically more valid conditions. However, specific UI setting used in particular research considerably influences the way how participant interacts with the virtual environments and thus determines his perception as well as cognitive processes. In the lecture I will introduce some modern state-of-the-art technologies relevant for current psychological research (VR, 3D glasses, head-mounted-displays, MOCAP) and discuss their possibilities and limits in exploring human mind and behavior.
