Description One of the tools of support for selected areas of traditional handicraft production in the last third of the 19th century was the different forms of educational activity. The sector that has been promoted in this way has become basketry in northeastern Moravia. During the 1980s and 1990s, basketwork schools were set up in several towns, the longest being the school in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm (1891-1920). Although its catchment area was limited mainly to the Rožnov region, there are visible links to other Basketwork schools in Central Europe. The graduate and then the administrator of the school Bohumír Kramoliš, who, besides Rožnov, also has a significant share in the profiling of the school and its interconnection with other basketwork institutions, has also worked at the schools in Dolný Kubín and Kremnice in Slovakia and in Morkovice na Moravě.
