Description The conference paper was based on one of the results of a project „Russia as a friend, or a foe? The Czech perspective“. It presented the results of the Analysis of the securitization of Russia in the discourse of presidents as specific actors of Czech foreign policy. The research was based on the concepts of discursive nodal points and metanarratives (previously used in the discourse analysis e.g. by Laclau, Mouffe and Diez) and the concept of securitization (according to Buzan, Weaver and Wilde). In analysed the discourse of the 3 presidents in the sense of their positions to the securitization of Russia, changes in their discourse about Russia during the period examined (February 1993 – February 2018), within the overall context of Czech political and public discussion about Russia.
